Review: Revving Her Up (Full Throttle #1) by Joy Daniels

Goodreads Summary:

Sarah Katz’s career as a New York lawyer is in high gear—and the stress has left her hormones sputtering. With strict doctor’s orders to relax, she books the cure: a spa vacation in the cool, green mountains of Virginia.

When a pothole sends her Porsche to the side of the road, she finds herself stuck in small-town Rapture. She’d love nothing more than to blow this Hicksville and be on her way…until she meets sexy stockcar mechanic Cole Cassidy.

Coles knows exactly how to handle that fancy car, and its uptight driver. Sarah’s not his type, but neither can deny that their attraction is firing on all cylinders. Soon he’s introducing her to the thrill of speed at the local track—in his car, and on it.

But Sarah’s troubles aren’t so easily left in the dust. Unless she forces herself to decide if she’s willing and able to let someone else take the wheel.

Warning: Contains a false start, breakdowns of the automotive and erotic kinds, creative uses of shower massagers and silk ties, and thrill-rides in, on, and outside of a racecar.

My Thoughts:

I loved Cole and Sarah! The two of them had amazing chemistry that just lit the pages up. I literally read this story in one sitting I couldn't put it down. I would have loved if this were longer, but still it felt complete. I am really looking forward to reading more of the series as well as more from Ms.Daniels.

Danny by Margo Anne Rhea

Title: Danny
Author: Margo Anne Rhea
Genre: Contemporary-Erotic Romance
Publisher: Entranced Publishing Length: 38 pgs
Release Date: May 20, 2013

Blurb:

Paige Warren is sure she’s come to terms with her impending divorce, until she wakes up in bed with her soon-to-be ex, Danny. Worse yet, the bed belongs to Stacey, the sexual surrogate Paige and Danny have been sleeping with for months -- and Stacey’s not there. As much as Paige tries to deny it, she soon realizes she’s still in love with Danny. Now she’s torn between him and the woman who holds them together. Should she risk hurting Stacey to rekindle a monogamous relationship with the man she once thought she’d spend the rest of her life with, or should she learn from past experience?

Danny is a sensual, erotic novella following one woman's struggle between a love she thought was over and a relationship that's barely begun.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this short story. It was definitely a hot one with lots of sexy scenes. It does have a plot. However, keep in mind that sex is a huge part of the plot. If you enjoy short erotica stories with lots of sex then absolutely give this one a try. While this is a short story it is a complete one. It doesn't leave you feeling like parts were missing or there is more to be told.

Excerpt:

THE MORNING I REALIZED I still had feelings for Danny was a rainy, gloomy one. Just like all those lazy, stormy Saturdays he and I used to spend in bed together–before Stacey. A hand slid up my thigh, pulling me from sleep. I stretched into the caress, reaching out for her. My muscles ached with that well-used, morning-after feeling. How like Stacey–to wake up wanting more.

I crawled sleepy fingers across linen until I felt warmth, smooth skin, a hipbone. Goose bumps rose under my hand, and I traveled north for more fun. The corners of my lips turned up in a smile as I anticipated cupping Stacey’s full breast, her taut nipple tickling my palm.

But instead I was fondling a very flat, very male chest. I’d like to say I shot off the bed faster than I’d ever moved before. But I didn’t. Instead, I lingered, breathing in time to his heartbeat. I would know that cadence anywhere. I’d laid my head on that chest and listened to that heart beat a million times before, but I pried my eyes open and focused on him, just to be sure.

The sight that greeted me was all too familiar: lean muscles; smooth, tan skin; dark, military hair. His square jaw clenched tight, and his brown eyes narrowed in an unreadable expression. Yep, I was in bed with my husband–my naked, estranged husband. And our girlfriend was nowhere to be seen.

“Where’s Stacey?” I whispered the words. Maybe I was afraid I would spook him. Maybe I was afraid I’d spook myself. I still hadn’t taken my hand back.

“Work, early.” The old Danny would have made sure I knew when she’d left, when she would be back, and every detail in between. Of course, the old Danny wouldn’t be married to one woman and sleeping with another.

I sighed and reclaimed my hand; his was still on my leg. Three years of marriage had been reduced to two-word sentences and mistaken caresses. I slid to the edge of the bed, keeping the ecru sheet stretched securely over my nudity. Danny traced my spine with his fingertips as I turned my bare back to him and kicked my legs over the edge of the bed.

He exhaled heavily. “Don’t go.” His voice was soft and gravelly. I froze at the sound of it. “Paige, stay.” He tried again, but all his entreaty did was spur me into motion.

My panties were on the floor by my feet, and I wasted no time yanking the pink lace up my legs. The sheet slipped, falling with a soft whoosh onto its fitted counterpart as I stood to pull those panties into place. He moaned the second my ass was covered.

Review: Desolation by Travis Simmons

Goodreads Summary:

Asher St Paul thought it was just a typical zombie apocalypse like in the movies, until the necromancers crawled out of the woodwork. Since the undead have chased the living into hiding, the necromancers are able to roam freely in a new America of their making. Asher is seeking safe harbor. The need for safety is what drove him from his home in Philadelphia Pennsylvania before it was shelled. He has searched from quarantine to quarantine, always finding them overrun with zombies until he hears of The Refuge, a military compound in Binghamton New York.

With his family and lover lain to rest by his own hand, he has nothing left to lose and gives everything he has to reach the safe haven. But questions arise when he reaches The Refuge, mainly, how has he been able to sustain multiple zombie bites and not change? He thinks he has found safety in the military compound turned quarantine, but he was wrong. Even now there is a necromancer trying to make The Refuge their kingdom of the dead.

My Thoughts:

Let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Zombie books. Real zombie books, (like George Romero's dead movies) not the romanced kind we seem to come across a lot lately. It has to have blood and gore or it is not a Zombie book. That was exactly what this one was. Add to it the fact that this has M/M romance in it and it was a book I just had to read.
Asher St.Paul is a fantastic character and he is immune to the virus, but has no idea how or why. How awesome is that?! While there is pleanty of Zombie action in this book there is also magic and Necromancers added into the mix. For me that made it that much more exciting. So much so that I read it in one day!
The M/M romance part was not explicit at all. It was very subtle, yet enjoyable.
I very highly recommend this book, especially to the Zombie fans!

Super Book Blast: Cream by Zenobia Renquist

Blurb:

She’s entered a world where blood, sex, and cash rules everything around her.

What do a four hundred-year-old vampire and a mid-level necromancer have in common? Money. Jeliyah needs it to pay off the people who trained her and Teaghan enjoys killing to get it. Together they hunt rogue vampires—assuming Teaghan can focus on something other than getting her in bed and Jeliyah doesn’t put a bullet in him first.

The uneasy partnership promises to be lucrative until Teaghan and Jeliyah get on the wrong side of a feud. Jeliyah is forced to use forbidden magic and finds herself bound to a man she should hate—but whom she can’t stop fantasizing about.

Every second they stay alive fuels a growing desire Jeliyah is unwilling to deny. Is it the magic? The danger? The only way to get the answers she craves is to outrun the enemy or kill them. She knows Teaghan’s preference but it’s Jeliyah who must put their mind-blowing sex aside and make the choice that will decide both their fates.

Author Bio:

Excerpt:

Teaghan kicked the room door shut behind him and then laid her on the nearest bed. "At least this time you're not glowing. Let's not make a habit of this."

"I feel the same."

"Then again..." His gaze wandered to her breasts.

Images of Teaghan running his hands over her breasts and teasing her nipples entered her mind. She reared up and smacked him at the same time she brought her other arm up to guard her chest.

Teaghan didn't react except to grin at her. "You're flushed, necromancer. Your heart rate jumped too. My little idea get you all hot and bothered?"

She glared at him.

"No? How about this one?"

A mental picture of Teaghan yanking off her panties so her could run his tongue over her clit invaded her mind. The detail was so vivid Jeliyah felt her pussy twitch in anticipation. Damn the man and this stupid mental connection. It might be one way, but she has access to his thoughts and now he wasn't trying to hide them. "You can't do that without an invitation."

"So invite me."

"Shouldn't you be going to sleep? The sun is up."

"Sun's got nothing to do with me." He moved closer, planting his hands on either side of her legs and leaning into her. "Invite me."

Jeliyah scooted back off the bed and away from him. Once on her feet, she said, "Don't get all cocky just because I took some of your blood, vampire, I told you that was a one-time thing and not to get ideas."

"Yeah, I heard you but," he hopped the bed and crowded her against the wall, "here's the thing. You could have gotten the same results by asking me to open a vein. A simple prick to the finger for a few drops of blood would have sufficed. You kissed me necromancer."

"It was a split-second decision. Back off." She clutched the necrome at her throat and said "Shield."

Teaghan laughed as the shield expanded to include him. "Forget something important did you? Your necromes recognize me now. I'm not a threat."

Shit. She'd forgotten one of the major side effects of Recognize. Her necromes-- and any others made from her blood-- no longer worked against Teaghan. There was no way to deactivate Recognize either, just like an invitation once given.

She shoved at his chest but he kept leaning forward until his lips were close to hers.

He said, "Let's talk about that kiss."

"It was spur of the moment. It meant nothing."

"Care to test that theory?"

"You can't. I haven't invited you."

"Kissing is the one thing I don't need an invitation to do." He pushed his lips against hers as he forced her hands over her head and pressed his body closer.

Jeliyah couldn't turn from the kiss, though she tried. This wasn't fair. Vampires needed permission to enter a persons body. Why didn't that extend to kissing? And why was she giving in to his kiss?

Review: Blood Bound (Vampire Erotica #2) by Michelle Fox

Goodreads Summary:
The sequel to the Top 100 Best Seller, Blood Rush...
Myra Danson has to die. The only question that remains is the kind of afterlife she’ll enjoy.
Selling her blood with a side of sex as a blood courtesan was supposed to have been about saving her mom, but now Myra has to go deeper into the vampire world in order to save herself. A hidden past she never knew existed is coming for her and now everyone wants her; dead or alive.
Being blood bound to the handsome vampire Kristos Anastos offers some protection, but her only real hope? To die faster than they can kill her.
An erotic vampire romance novella that completes the story started in Blood Rush. Approximately 30,000 words (also known as half a novel).

WARNING: Contains sexy vampires along with fast paced action and adventure.

My Thoughts:
This was an amazing finish to the story started in Blood Rush. Each book is half the story and both were fantastic! I loved the action and suspense that were mixed into the erotic romance.
Kristos is an extremely sexy vampire and Myra is his perfect match. They are an amazing couple. There were parts of the story that left me on the edge of my seat, rapidly flipping pages and others that had me panting it was so hot!
Michelle Fox has quickly become a favorite author of mine. She does not disappoint her readers and I highly recommend her work.

Review: As You Wish (A Cinderella Story) by A. Violet End

Blurb:

Annora is willing to do anything to save her father from the dark eros of an evil witch-mother and two demonic step-sisters. It's a perilous task, battling such awful magic, but she doesn't have to face danger alone; a fairy man waits to make all Annora's wishes come true--for a price. This is not Walt Disney's Cinderella, dear reader. This is As You Wish, a Cinderella story from author A. Violet End.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed the authors retelling of a classic fairytale. It was imaginitive and erotic. I loved the different characters and the way that the story played out. I would definitely recommend this story for anyone looking for a short yet erotic tale. I will be reading more of this authors work in the near future. *I recieved this book for review but that has in no way effected my opinion.*

Review: Caribbean Casanova (Under the Caribbean Sun #2) by

Goodreads Summary:

"Of all the islands in all the world, she's come to his. "

"Under the Caribbean Sun, Book 2"

Holly Hansen has sacrificed too much to let anything-"especially" a man-get in the way of making her clothing line a success. When she arrives on the island of Anguilla, she zeroes in on the biggest threat to her make-or-break photo shoot. At six-and-a-half foot of sculpted Dutch muscle, Harmannus Prinsen is every inch the womanizer of Caribbean legend, but he will "not" be seducing any of her models. She knows exactly how to make sure of it. Make the girls think he's taken.

Harm is stunned when the curvaceous beauty greets him with a mind-numbing kiss. She's the embodiment of every pin-up portrait he collected as a teen, with a sassy tongue and a body that begs for his touch. Sure, he'll pretend to be her date...but only if they "really" date.

Despite her best efforts to remain immune to his charms, Holly finds herself falling for the man behind the myth. She begins to wonder which island she belongs on...Manhattan or Anguilla.

Warning: Contains an island bad boy with an orgasmic library, and a career-focused heroine who learns that being the focus of one man's...attentions...isn't so bad. Clothing optional.

My Thoughts:

I absolutely loved this book! It was hot, sexy and romantic. I really fell for Harm, he is just the kind of hero every woman loves to read about. Harm and Holly have a special connection. The witty banter between them made me laugh at times. It just made the book that much more enjoyable. I really loved the epilogue too. It was perfect.
This book is well written and a joy to read. I am looking forward to reading more of Jenna's work.

Review: Bound in Evil by Marie Rose Dufour

Goodreads Summary:
For hundreds of years, evil is trapped beneath the ground. It never sleeps. It only waits to return.
A man turns his back against his magical family a long ago and the prophecy predicting a powerful witch with green eyes will release the imprisoned evil into the world. Nathaniel Caswell is determined to avoid the prophecy and the sexy new woman in town who could be his salvation or his downfall.
Meg Costa didn’t realize when she left her urban guidance counselor job for one on the sleepy coast of Massachusetts that she would catch the attention of the sexy green eyed sheriff and be thrown in the middle of a battle between good and evil.
Destiny throws these two together and along with the rest of the magical community, they need to figure out a way to save themselves and the world from being plunged into darkness forever.

My Thoughts:
Wow! I was immediately pulled into this world and found myself completely spellbound. I couldn't pull myself away for more than a few minutes at a time.
The characters, Nate and Meg, are fated to be lovers. They both have the most amazing eyes. Nate's being a vibrant green and Meg's are an ice blue. That was one physical characteristic that really stuck out. Together they make a quite a pair.
There are four other characters that I am hoping will pair off in coming books. I am certainly looking forward to it!
In this book there was romance, mystery, a bit of action and all surrounded by magic. It was an all around excellent story. I am very excited to know what is going to happen next!

Review: Born Again In Dreams (Born Vampire #3) by Cynthia Arsuaga

Goodreads Summary:

The Master of His Domain

Sorin Bochinsky, Master and Commander of the Eastern European Blood Family, controls everyone and everything around him, except the woman of his dreams with the face of an angel prevents his needed rest. She’s the light to his dark, scarred and pained existence. The search begins to find her before he goes insane.

An Angel Awakens

Merliah Travers suffered more than serious injuries from a car accident over four years ago. She awakens in a place where the pain and scars have hidden her away from the world. A fantasy lover leads her out of the darkness and into the light, then discovers a special ability acquired during the coma has put her in danger with a fanatic killer.

Two lost, scarred souls battle a psychopath and their inner demons to unite as one, to never be alone, and be born again in dreams, forever.

My Thoughts:

This is the third book of the series and I loved it! Sorin is my favorite guy so far, I just loved him and how he kept fighting for what he wanted. I really liked Liah too, and it isn't often that I like the heroine as much as the hero.

Liah's ability involving her paintings was completely fascinating! It was definitely a very original twist. I am hoping we get to see this couple again. I want more Sorin!

Review: Drama Queens with Love Scenes by Kevin Klehr

Goodreads Summary:

Close friends Allan and Warwick are dead. They're not crazy about the idea so to help them deal with this dilemma are Samantha, a blond bombshell from the 1950s, and Guy, an insecure angel.

They are soon drawn into the world of theatre - Afterlife style, with all the bitchiness, back-stabbing and ego usually associated with the mortal world.

Allan also has a secret. He has a romantic crush on his friend, Warwick, but shortly after confiding in his new angel pal, his love interest falls for the cock-sure playwright, Pedro.

Not only does Allan have to win the heart of his companion, he also has to grapple with the faded memory of how he actually died.

My Thoughts:

Once I got started reading I had trouble putting this one down. Lots of drama and tension. I had to keep reading and see how these guys ended up...

I wanted Warwick and Allan both to just reach out and grasp what was right in front of them. All through the book, I was on a rollercoaster right along with Allan. The ups and downs, highs and lows. So much heartache and *sigh* I just wanted him find his "happy".

I think everyone should give this story a go. It truely is a riviting read that is sure to hold your interest.

Review: Breach by K.I Lynn

Blurb:

Delilah Palmer has control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth just below the surface. A façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood. She’s made a good life for herself, became a lawyer, and is free from the tortured past that haunts her daily. Until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.

Nathan Thorne has a past of his own. On the surface he is loved by all, personable, extroverted; everything Delilah isn’t. Hidden beneath is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has to power to unveil.

Crammed in a small office together they see through each other’s masks, and the draw becomes too much, igniting an explosive relationship. Holloway and Holloway Law has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. Despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan has trouble coping; teetering on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.

What secrets does he harbor that could keep him from giving in? What keeps him from healing and moving forward? And Delilah, where does she fit into all this turmoil?

Can they accept love and deal with all the trials that come their way when secrets are exposed? Or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

Author Bio:

K.I. Lynn spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.

My Thoughts:

Wow! So this started out smoking hot and just got hotter! I was totally wrapped up in the story from the minute I started until it was over.

Nathan and Lila are a disaster waiting to happen. All through the book I was just waiting for one or the other to completely snap. Both characters have been dealt a really shitty hand and have tried (well, sort of...) to make the best of it. They have extremely rough yet very HOT sex. They both fight their "relationship" tooth and nail all the way.
I loved the book, but I need more NOW! I was left with my mouth open in shock! Yes it will leave you hanging, but it is so worth reading! I highly recommend this title!
